Ghanaian-American actress, television personality, Anderea Owusu, professionally known as Efia Odo says she wishes Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name Stonebwoy wins GRAMMY.
According to Efia Odo, Ghanaian Afropop, Afro-dancehall and reggae musician is bigger than Ghana Music Awards and other awards.
“What I want to say is that I see Stonebwoy to be bigger than Ghana Music Awards, I see him to be bigger than the platforms they give him. I want him to get to a different level which is higher than these awards and that is the Grammy. I think every artist wants to win the Grammy ” She stated during a panel discussion on Accra-based United Television showbiz.
Efia Odo also apologised to Stonebwoy over a comment she made about the 2024 Artiste of the Year.
The actress described Stonebwoy who won the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artiste of the Year as an old man.
She believed Ghanaian highlife and afrobeats singer, Gregory Bortey Newman, who goes by the stage name King Promise supposed to win the 2024 TGMA.
‘I think it’s cuz Shatta and sark has won it twice so that means he too he wants it twice(I’ve not mentioned names ) . The old man should should just leave it for the kids cuz it’s evident that numbers don’t lie. If you like let’s compare king promises numbers to others . If doing doing shows at the stadium is a yardstick, like fancy gadam Sef should win AOTY, SIMPLE ,” She wrote on her X formerly Twitter.
But on the same show, Efia Odo admitted that her comment was wrong and disrespectful.
Meanwhile, Stonebwoy has graduated from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
The Ghanaian musician earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration.
He advised others who get the opportunity to go to school to grab it since everything is about education.
