Ghanaians are in shock after the sudden U-turn of Rev. Owusu Bempah, making a prophecy about Ghana’s political future and in favour of someone he said a lot about, that he will never become president of Ghana again.
In his latest prophecy, the man of God revealed that victory in the 2024 election will be given to Mahama-a strong deviation from his previous statement.
In 2020, a prophecy by Rev. Owusu Bempah came with the greatest of confidence to say that the NPP was ordained to be in power for 12 years, with President Nana Akufo-Addo being at the helm of affairs.
He said then that God had ordained the NPP to stay in power for a consecutive three terms. Then came October 1, 2024, when that same prophet met with John Mahama amidst other members of the clergy and declared a sudden turnaround.
“God has returned the country to John Mahama because of his good heart,” Owusu Bempah revealed after a prayer session and added that Mahama was now set for victory in the December polls.
This has elicited the usual frenzy of comments online questioning the consistency and authenticity of prophecies by Ghana’s leading pastors.
The lines are drawn in the spiritual arena with, at least, three men of God giving conflicting prophesies into the political future of the country: Rev. Owusu Bempah, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, and Victor Kusi Boateng. As the 2024 elections approach and with this growing tension among citizens, one cannot help but ask: whose prophecy will prove right?
With the election just around the corner on December 9, 2024, mixed messages from the clergy raise questions as to whether these prophecies reflect divine intervention or personal benefits. Only time will tell what the real result of this prophetic battle is.
