Sheikh Jaja Abdul, a Ghanaian spiritual leader, has revealed that religion is one of the tools by the Europeans to exploit Africans during the colonial era.
According to him, colonial powers deliberately utilized religion to manipulate and control African people, taking advantage of Africans’ deep spiritual beliefs to further their own agenda.
In an interview with Bro. Kwaku on Elvis Anokye TV on Youtube, Sheikh Jaja disclosed that European powers, through missionaries and other means, sought to replace indigenous beliefs with Christianity, thereby weakening the social and cultural structures of African communities.
According to Sheikh Abdul, this strategic manipulation enabled colonizers to exploit the wealth and resources of the continent, with devastating consequences that still resonate today.
On Christianity, he argue that the letter Letter J, does not exist in Hebrew language and therefore questioned the existence of the Biblical figure of Jesus Christ. Sheikh Jaja further explained that the names of the Gospel writers Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John are all British names with no root in the Middle East hence his assertion that Christianity and other foreign religion are tools to manipulate Africans.
“We are being deceived. The letter J in Hebrew language don’t exist. So how could Jesus exist? You know, all this Mark, Luke, John, those are British names. Who in the Middle East had names like that? Nobody, it’s all made up, and it’s all a brainwashing to get us, you know, the colonialization didn’t work.
“They came here to steal our oil, our gold and everything. Then they said, oh, Let’s give them religion. Let’s give them Christianity because we know we are a spiritual people so then they can steal everything and that’s what they’re doing. They’re stealing everything from us.”
Sheikh Jaja Abdul, also revealed that foreign religions has make the average African lazy by prioritizing white religious believe at the expense of their basic needs. He encouraged Africans and for that matter Ghanaians to move away from foreign religions and return to their ancestral beliefs.
“White people are the ones who brought us Christianity. What did your grandfather and your great grandfather? We had ancestors. We had things bigger than this white Jesus and this God. The universe is big. I believe in the ancestor and the creator of the universe.
”In this community here, we have 400 people. We have four churches, a mosque, one fetish temple, and there’s no toilet. You see some white Jesus on their truck. When did Jesus become white? And if Jesus exists, why would he be white?” He questioned
