Ghanaian artistes including Sarkodie, King Promise and Darko Vibes will lift the flag of Ghana on high in Paris as they are set to perform at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Cooperation Attachée with the French Embassy to Ghana, Madam Marine Hayem, who made this announcement said that Sarkodie, King Promise and Darko Vibes would be performing at a show on August 10th ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

“Ghanaian artistes will be training for the games while many artistes will be welcome as well. Nine young volunteers have been also selected to play an active role in the organization of the Games. And you should know that Ghanaians, we are always welcome in Paris and friends.” She said.

According to her, a special day would be dedicated to Ghana for the Ghanaian to showcase Ghana’s rich musical heritage.

“For your information, there will be an African fan zone called Station Afrique that will open on the 20 of July and I’m also happy to inform you that on the 10 August, it will be a full day dedicated to Ghana. Many Ghanaian artists such as Sarkodie, King Promise and Darko Vibes will perform on that day,” she announced.

She wished them well and prayed for a successful performance.

“So we wish the Ghanaian artists all the best as they lift Ghana’s flag high and we hope that they come back successful.” Madam Marine Hayem added.

Meanwhile,  the Ghana Olympic Committee has named 21 representatives for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games which will take place in France from 26 July to 11 August.

Team Ghana delegates left Ghana on Wednesday for a training camp in Strasbourg.

Activities such as breaking, skateboarding, sport climbing, surfing, and 3×3 basketball, swimming and High Jumping and others will be featured at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
