The much-anticipated 2025 MP’s End-of-Year Football Gala, organized and sponsored by the Member of Parliament for Salaga-South Constituency, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, kicked off today at the Salaga Astro Turf.
The opening match, which began at 3:00 p.m, saw Ree Boys FC from Ngua Mallam taking on Dagbon Stars from Dagombaline in what many residents described as an exciting start to this year’s competition. The atmosphere in the Salaga township had been buzzing since morning as fans prepared to fill the venue in anticipation of the games.
An opening ceremony took place at 4:20 p.m to officially usher in the gala. Supporters witnessed a colorful display as the Salaga-South legislator’s annual initiative continued to promote unity, youth development, and community engagement in the constituency.
The second match followed at 4:30 p.m, with Soccer Babies from the Salaga New Market Area battling it out with Sisipe United in another competitive fixture.
Residents expressed excitement over the event, noting that the MP’s annual football gala has become one of the most anticipated activities in the constituency, especially among the youth.
