Work has officially begun on the Ngua–Mallam to Kulpi road following a pledge by the Member of Parliament for the Salaga-South Constituency, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, during her site inspection of the Kitoe Nkwanta–Kitoe road on Friday, 21st November 2025.

The intervention aims to improve accessibility for residents who heavily depend on the route for economic and social activities.

The Director of Special Projects and his team have assured the public of their commitment to work diligently to ensure the timely completion of the project. They noted that the rehabilitation exercise will be carried out with high standards to guarantee durability and safety for road users.

The rehabilitation works are currently being funded by the MP, who has further pledged to extend similar interventions to other deteriorated roads within the constituency.

She explained that the move is part of her broader effort to ease transportation challenges, especially for market women and farmers who use these routes daily to access markets, farms, and essential services.

Residents have welcomed the commencement of the project, expressing optimism that the improved road network will boost economic activities and enhance mobility across the area.
