The Vice Presidential Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2024 elections, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 stormed Dunkwa-Mfuom in the Upper Denkyira East of the Central Region as part of her campaign tour.
The former Education Minister interacted with market women to ascertain their concerns.
She assured the market women that the next NDC government will put in place measures to reduce cost of living to bring relief to Ghanaians.
SHe also called on the electorates to vote for Lawyer Emelia Ankomah, the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Upper Denkyira East to enhance development in the constituency.
She said this after the traders complained about the high cost of goods and services.
” Can you imagine that meat that cost GHC5.00 has now increased to GHC20.00 and above. Similarly, tomato prices have also increased causing low business.” One woman lamented.
Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang was accompanied by the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Upper Denkyira East, Lawyer Emelia Ankomah and party executives.
Lawyer Emelia Ankomah who was also present during the engagement noted all concerns raised by the market women and assured them that when the NDC party led by John Dramani Mahama voted to power, measures aimed at making the economy better will be enhanced to make livelihood better.
The climax of Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang engagement was held at Bebianiha Community.
The chief who was excited for the interaction assured her of victory coming December 7, 2024.
He appealed for the construction of a deplorable road to Twifo Praso and expansion of Chip Compound in the community to enable them access good health care.
Lawyer Emelia Ankomah addressing the people present, indicated major works of the NDC administration which were construction of Atfat roads at dunkwa principal street, chip compounds, extension of electricity, livelihood empowerment programmes etc and she urged the people to vote for NDC for more.
