The appointees were officially sworn into office on Thursday November 7, 2025 by the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry and Member of Parliament for Techiman North, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare (MP), at a brief ceremony in Accra.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Ofosu-Adjare commended the President for selecting individuals with deep community ties, experience and integrity to serve on the GNPA board. She expressed confidence that the new board would provide strategic direction to ensure the GNPA operates in alignment with national development priorities and supports the broader goals of industrialization, agribusiness growth and job creation.
“The GNPA has an important role to play in stabilizing commodity supply chains, supporting local producers, and ensuring that Ghana remains competitive on both domestic and export markets.” She stated.

She urged the board to adopt innovative approaches to improve sourcing, storage, and distribution of key commodities while ensuring value for money and good governance in public procurement.
The Ghana National Procurement Agency Limited (GNPA) is a limited liability company wholly owned by the Government of Ghana under the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry. The agency operates as a commodity trading enterprise engaged in the sourcing and sale of commodities within the domestic market and for export.
Over the years, GNPA has played a significant role in Ghana’s economic development by supporting local industries, promoting agricultural trade, and facilitating the government’s procurement needs in a transparent and accountable manner.

Nana Opoku Fosu Gyeabour II and Nana Kwasi Konadu Yiadom I bring strong leadership experience from the Techiman Traditional Area, one of Ghana’s key agricultural and commercial hubs while Mr. Henry Yaw Acheampong adds an academic and professional dimension to the board’s oversight function.
