The Bono East Regional, Hon. Akwasi Adu Gyan has appealed to the 1st National Vice President of the National Council of Zongo Chiefs, Nana Fanyima III to help resolve the chieftaincy dispute in Techiman Zongo.

According to him, chieftaincy disputes in techiman Zongo affect peace and harmony in the area.

The Minister revealed that Nana Fanyima III immense contribution brought harmony and peaceful co-existence among the various tribes in Kintampo so he should use the same experience to resolve Techiman Zongo chieftaincy.

He made this appeal when the 1st National Vice President of the National Council of Zongo Chiefs who doubles as Wangrahene of Kintampo, Nana Fanyima III paid a courtesy call on him.

“Nana Fanyima, I see him as the epitome of peace in Kintampo and for that matter the whole Bono East region.” He prayed to Nana Fanyima III to use his prestigious position and wise guardians.

“Nana I will plead with you, we have some issues at Techiman Zongo, please use your patience and experience in the Zongo communities to help bring peace into Techiman Zongo” He prayed.

The delegation led by Nana Fanyima III and other 26 Chiefs from Kintampo Zongo was accompanied by the Municipal Chief Executive of Kintampo, Hon. Isaac Baffoe Amyewaw popularly known as Koola.

Nana Fanyima III on his part revealed that the courtesy call on the Regional Minister was long overdue and applauded the Minister for his benevolence act in his line of duty.

“The Minister is a native of Kintampo and we are all happy to visit him, we should have visited him a long time ago, I applaud him on how he has been running the affairs of the Bono East region” Nana said.

Nana Fanyima III, also disclosed that he had a lot of positive dialogues with the Bono East Regional Minister and believes such dialogues can go a long way in developing Kintampo and the Bono East Region at large.

Nana promised to use his position as the 1st Vice President for the National Council of Zongo Chiefs to help resolve the Zongo Chieftaincy dispute currently ongoing in Techiman as requested of him by the East Regional Minister
