People who don’t love Daddy Lumber don’t understand good music – Serwaa Amihere asserts

Ghanaian Media Personality Serwaa Amihere has asserted that people who hate Ghanaian High Life legend, Charles Kwadwo Ofosu popularly known as Daddy Lumba don’t understand good music.

She believes Daddy Lumba’s songs contain good messages that can guide someone on their day to day activities and their lifestyles but people just listen to the music they don’t understand the lyrics.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, Serwaa Amihere underscored the need for people to understand the song they are listening to.

“I think that people who don’t love Daddy Lumber don’t understand good music. I say it without any equivocation, you need to really love good music, understand the lyrics, like you (Nana Romeo) were saying if you don’t understand, you will think that it is just a song. Daddy Lumba songs go beyond the rhythm.” She stated.

According to the female Broadcaster, fans and supporters who attend Lumba’s show can witness that they feel like the legend is communicating with them when he (Lumba) is on stage.

Reasons, the renowned Media Personality believes that those who attend Lumba’s show sing more than dancing.

She pointed out that Daddy Lumba’s song ‘sika’ has a powerful message.

“Things that he said in the songs that we mostly dance to, if you realize on every Daddy Lumba’s show, people are singing more than dancing because it looks like you are having a conversation with him. Look at his song ‘Sika’ look at the lyrics of the song it says ‘If there is money on the refuse dump, take some’ it is good advice.” Serwaa Amihere indicated.
