The Techiman Krobohene and Kyidomhene of the Techiman Traditional Area, Oyeadeye Asa Akompanin, has reached out to the residents of Krobo and Techiman at large, expressing his deepest apologies for any offenses he may have committed against them.

Oyeadeye Asa Akompanin, made this heartfelt plea during the celebrations of this year’s Kyidom Yam Festival at his palace in the Techiman North District of the Bono East region.

While addressing the gathering, the Techiman Krobohene and Kyidomhene, acknowledged that, conflicts and misunderstandings can arise, and has sincerely asked for forgiveness from anyone he may have wronged, he also extended his forgiveness to those who may have offended him, emphasizing the importance of moving forward and living together in harmony.

“The celebration of Yam Festival gives us the opportunity to meet together as one big family and resolve all our differences and discuss best ways we can develop our community.

“So I will humbly plead with all of you, the young and the aged, that if by any means I have offended you, please forgive me, it is never my intention to offend any body in our community but that is the nature of leadership.

“As a leader, I can’t satisfy everybody at the same time, so if I ever offended anyone, please for the sake of our development, kindly forgive me, I also want all those in Krobo and Techiman to know that, I have wholeheartedly forgive anybody that offended me. The truth is, I can’t even hear any negative comment, so if you thinks if you have said something bad about me or any of my chiefs so I am angry with you, then you can rest assured that I have not heard any negative comment.” Nana said.

Oyeadeye Asa Akompanin, also ceased the occasion to express his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Krobo and Techiman at large for their immense contribution and support since he ascend the Techiman Kyidom throne.

He encourages everyone to put aside their differences and come together to build a brighter future for Krobo and Techiman.

“We decided not to celebrate this year’s Yam Festival in a grand style but your participation in the celebration have been very massive and I truly appreciate it.

“What we have seen since morning till now clearly indicates that the Kyidom seat is really growing, the number of people that attends a chiefs festival shows how much that chief is being valued in his community, the rate what the people of Krobo and Techiman at large have been coming to grace the festival at our palace since morning, is a testament all the chiefs of Krobo are doing a good work in the district and the Techiman South at large.

“Let us all live together as a happy big family and help to promote and develop our great community.” Oyeadeye Asa Akompanin explained.
