Otto Addo, the head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, has assured their teeming supporters that the team will soon find the scoring prowess in the 2025 AFCON Qualifier campaign.

Otto Addo made this assertion during his post-match interview after a disappointing 0:0 with the Falcons of Jediane at the Accra Sports Stadium

Despite showcasing strong play across all three matches, the Black Stars have struggled to convert their chances into goals, leaving on the third position in Group F with only 1 goal score while conceding 2 goals.

Ghana played exceptional well against the Falcons of Jediane of Sudan with an impressive match statistics. The Black Stars, had 60% of the game possession, completed 370 passes against 269 of Sudan, 82% pass accuracy against 62% from Sudan, played 20 shorts in the game while Sudan had only 6 short. Out of the 20 shorts played, the Black Stars of Ghana had 7 of them on target yet failed to score.

The performance of the Black Stars of Ghana and the inability to find the back of the net has left Otto Addo determined to address this critical issue.

He explained that, Sudan were only lucky not to have concede in the game and  won’t be lucky in the return encounter at the Benina Martyrs Stadium in Libya on Tuesday 15th, October 2024.

“Surely we will try to train on the finishing and give them confidence because that was the only thing that was missing, the spirit was there, the passion was there, the defensive discipline was there.

“It is just about to finish the chances that it all and yes, Sudan was lucky today and next time we see them in Libya, they won’t be lucky and we will win.” He said.
