Kumawood actor, Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has apologised to his colleague, Martha Ankomah, and asked to forgive him.
Comments made by Lilwin against the actress resulted in legal disputes between them.
But speaking in an interview on United Television entertainment show dubbed United Showbiz on August 3, 2024, Lilwin stated that he never intended to insult Martha Ankomah.
“What I am saying is that, I have forgiven everyone who has insulted and wronged me. So if I have offended anybody he/she should also forgive me. And Martha is my sister and colleague, we are all doing the same work. Disputes can arise anytime but it should be resolved amicably. And no one is above apology; even the president apologises when he is wrong.” Lilwin said.
He also attributed the widespread dispute between them to bloggers who orchestrate false information to gain public attention.
“Now bloggers in Ghana can edit your voice and video to create an issue because there is no way I will insult Martha. I will never do that. That video consisted of three different things, I started with Martha Ankomah before I came to the Youtubers but they edited it to be like I was talking to Martha. Bad news spread more than good news.” He said.
“So if I said anything that offended her or she was not happy, we are all human, and we can wrong each other so she should forgive me. I have also forgiven her because we are all working together. We want the movie industry to progress, not hatred. We should not hate each other. All these properties are vanity, we will die one day and leave it for someone.” Lilwin added.
He continued, “if I have offended any Ghanaian, they should forgive me, my sister Martha should forgive me. I am sure I can not insult her. I am apologising on behalf of your panel members, Fadda Dickson, Despite and everyone to ask Martha to forgive me.”
It was alleged that Lilwin has approached Martha Ankomah for an out-of-court settlement but the Actress has denied the reports.
