The Nkoranza Traditional Council has disowned some of its elders who invoked curses on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer former president John Dramani Mahama over an alleged meeting snub.
Some elders of the Nkoranza Traditional Council in a viral video cursed the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Mr. Mahama for allegedly snubbing the traditional rulers while they were gathered to meet the NDC flagbearer.
But responding to the video, the Nkoranza Traditional Council in a statement signed by the ‘Registrar, Cosmos Awuku Fofie denied the claims.
According to them, they do not reflect the values or practices of the Council.
Adding that the Council remains committed to fostering dialogue and collaboration with all political entities for the betterment of our community.
“The Nkoranza Traditional Council wishes to clarify recent false reports alleging that the Traditional Council has expressed outrage and invoked curses against the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer His Excellency the ex-president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, following an alleged missed meeting.” They said.
“The Traditional Council categorically denies these claims, as they do not reflect our values or practices. The Council remains committed to fostering dialogue and collaboration with all political entities for the betterment of our community.” Part of the statement read.
The Traditional Council therefore urged the public to disregard what they described as misleading statements and treat it with any contempt it deserves.
“We urge the public to disregard these misleading statements and encourage responsible reporting to uphold the integrity of our Traditional leadership.” They stressed.
