The flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has responded to his critics that he is a liar and can not be trusted.
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has tagged the Vice President as a liar (Bawuliar) and that he can not be trusted to lead the country.
But speaking at a media engagement on Sunday, August 25, Dr. Bawumia stated that calling him a liar is better than being called Government Official 1, or a drug dealer and a murderer.
“People calling me a liar, and I said to someone that at least I’m not called a murderer, as my boss [President Akufo-Addo] was called, or I’m not called a drug dealer, or even I’m not called Government Official 1,” He said.
The NPP Presidential candidate talking about technology said Ghana can leapfrog the advanced countries if the people of the country can change their mindset.
To him, it is possible for the country to do what the advanced countries are doing.
“Way do these things arise? Fundamentally, I believe Ghana can do exactly what is happening in the developed world, in the advanced countries. I believe it is possible for us to leapfrog in technology. And for us to do this, we must have this mindset of possibilities. That is why I’m saying, ‘It Is Possible’. Bawumia said.
According to him, the country is failing to do things that are not even done in the developed countries because Ghanaians are timid and don’t trust themselves.
“We are always timid to try to do things that are not even done in advanced countries. Because it has not been done in advanced countries, we should not even try but we can leapfrog them in many areas.” He added.
