Ghanaian herbal doctor and renowned fetish priest, Stephen Osei Mensah, popularly known as Nana Kwaku Bonsam, has called for unity and the preservation of the cultural heritage of the Bono people and all Akans.

The day with the fetish priests in and around the Bono lands took place at the Techiman Methodist park  while fetish priests displayed traditional dance and performed miracles.

“The Bono people have a long and storied history, with a unique culture that has been passed down through generations. However, modernization and globalization have put pressure on their traditional way of life, with many young people embracing Western customs and traditions.

“Today is a very good day for all fetish priests in the erstwhile Brong Ahafo region and all Akan lands, because we have set aside today as part of the Meko Bono and Homecoming festival to remember our forefathers and gods.” He said.

Nana Kwaku Bonsam, also used the occasion to urge all people of Bono and Akan descent to attend the grand durbar, which will take place on 10th August, 2024 at the Techiman Methodist Park.

I entreat all and sundry not to miss the grand durbar because it will be very huge, almost all government officials will be present and if you know you love Brong Ahafo, you have to come, you should not sit somewhere and watch us celebrate our roots and say you love Brong Ahafo, so if you know Brong Ahafo, then you have to come.
