The Chief Priest of Kwaku Firi in Wenchi Nwoase and Herbalist, Nana Kofi Drobo, has urged leaders of the various political parties to accept the results of the December 7th general elections in a good fate.
Nana Kofi Drobo made this appeal through his finance officer, Nana Kofi Afena during this year’s Odwira Festival.
Speaking to Elvisanokyenews.com, the Sanaahene of Nwoase Traditional Council, Nana Kofi Afena, on behalf of Nana Kofi Drobo, expressed his profound gratitude to those that graced the festival
“Nana Kofi Drobo is very grateful to all and sundry that showed up during this year’s Odwira festival, it was a very successful festival and we pray for long and healthy life for us to meet again next year and celebrate the Odwira festival again.” He said.
Nana Kofi Afena, explained that the country can only develop when there is peace and stability and and therefore urged the leaders of all political parties cleared to contest in this year’s elections to desist from any activity that will threaten the peace of the country.
He also urged them to put aside their differences and work towards the betterment of the country.
“My advice to the people of Ghana is that, we have only one Ghana, we may travel outside the country but at the long run, our country is Ghana and we have to ensure that the country is peaceful by all means.
“Elections is not about fighting, it is simply sharing your ideas on who you believe is capable in leading the country for the next four years, if someone does not support your political candidates, it does not mean you should fight that person.” He explained
Nana Kofi Afena, finally appealed to all political leaders to accept the results of the elections in order for peace to reign in the country
“We must respect the views and ideas everybody, on December 7th, Nana Kofi Drobo wants all electorates to go the polls and vote in peace, after casting your vote, return back home, you can watch the electoral proceedings on TV or you can listen to it live via the various radio stations.
“Nana Kofi Drobo wants everybody especially leaders of the two main political parties to respect and accept the results of the elections in good fate. He is confident that this year’s elections will be peaceful.” He said.
