Ernest Boama, Secretary to Nana Kofi Drobo, has presented a donation of GH¢3,000 on behalf of the traditional leader to Classic FM ahead of the station’s 2025 Agyanka Bewe Akoko program.
Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Boama explained that Nana Kofi Drobo is motivated by a deep sense of responsibility towards the less privileged.
“According to Nana, what encourages him the most is living to see the end of the year and remembering that he must not celebrate alone while the needy, widows, orphans, and other vulnerable people struggle.
“This thought often gives him sleepless nights, and as a result, he has made it a commitment to share food, clothing, and other items to make the needy happy, as they, too, have lived to see the glory of God and the end of the year in good health.” He told Classic FM’s Nana Boakye Yiadom (N.B.Y).
He added that Nana Kofi Drobo believes in the philosophy of sharing as a form of caring and a blessing from God.
“Nana says sharing is caring, and he believes it is a blessing from God. He does not give merely to seek God’s blessings for himself but invites anyone who desires blessings to also take part in giving to the needy, because giving attracts divine favour. According to him, this initiative has truly made a positive impact.
The donation also comes ahead of the Appor Festival, one of the most cherished festivals in Nwoase, which is slated to commence on December 24, 2024. The festival is celebrated under the supervision of the Sanaahene of Nwoase, Nana Kofi Afena, who plays a pivotal role in organizing and upholding cultural traditions during the festivities.
