Kumawood Actress, Portia Asare has revealed why her second marriage collapsed.
According to the actress, her second husband forced her to quit acting but could not provide her money to establish a business to support her family.
Speaking to Ahodwo TV monitored by Elvisanokyenews.com, Portia Asare indicated that Raymond Kwaku Marfo’s failure to provide her money to buy her needs and support her family caused their divorce.
“Somebody sent his child to school so that perhaps I will feed my family from that but you said I should stop my work meanwhile, you can’t even rent a tent at the market for me, and tell me I don’t want you to act so sell clothes or onions. You can’t give me money to start a business but you said I should stop my work. But if you can establish business for the person in order to afford certain things through you is better.” She said.
“I mean I don’t even understand why some men say what do you bring to the table? That is why we can’t stay in marriage for long. Because the core mandate of marriage is arranged by God, we use our knowledge and character to change everything.” The actress added.
Portia Asare who was first married to Pastor John Wilberforce Aidoo stressed that she was using the money she got from acting to provide herself and her family their needs but her husband’s decision for her to quit acting without money for her to start business brought her down.
“Maybe my expenses are GHC500 because I can buy this and that item. That is how I have lived my life to my marital stage before you came. And you can not continue and you said stop your work I will give you GHC1 and I will also add GHC1 to do what I want. But your case is different, you want me to look like an uncivilized woman to the extent that I can’t even do my hair. So did you come to push me higher or to bring me down? We have been married for two to three years and by the time you leave you have to start life again from level 1.” She lamented.
