According to her, President John Dramani Mahama has signed a social contract with Ghanaians to ensure gender equality and equity, a contract, she aims to help the President fulfill..

“When you look at the services and the mandate of the ministry, which you know best, I have read and contributed from the CSO’s perspective and maybe a legislator’s perspective, but you have worked as core team members of the ministry.

“You know more than myself what it means to Ghanaians to be living good, in dignity, with respect, I expect that all of us here will have that in mind as we all work towards what the president wants to achieve.

“He signed a social contract with the people of Ghana and I have no intention of being the one to let him down and I don’t expect that from any of you.” She stated.

In her new capacity, the Minister will work to integrate gender, children, and social protection issues into the National Development Agenda. She will also ensure compliance with international conventions and treaties concerning these areas, while conducting research on related topics.
