Former President John Dramani Mahama has been re-elected as the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2024 elections.

According to a report, Mr. Mahama has also re-appointed former Minister of Education, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as his running mate.

Some political actors have described the 2024 general elections as crucial.

The opposition NDC has accused the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) of mismanaging the economy leading to the current hardship in Ghana.

They said it is time Ghanaians vote massively for the former president to come turn the economy around and bring relief to ordinary Ghanaians to improve their standard of living.

Ghana will hold the general elections on December 7.
