36-year old Polish international, Robert Lewandowski is officially the third highest goal scorer in Europe’s top five (5) leagues.
Lewandowski, helped Barcelona to secure their ninth (9th) La Liga win over the weekends as he got a brace in Barca’s 5:1 victory over Sevilla at the Estadio Olympic Companys on last Sunday, 20th October, 2024.
The Polish Super Star, opened the scoring for Barca on the 24th minute through a penalty kick before netting his second on the 39th minute, just six (6) minutes before half time.
Sunday’s brace against Sevilla, has taken Lewandowski’s goal tally for this season’s La Liga to an incredible twelve (12) goals out of 10 games played and a total of La Liga goals since joining the Catalans on 16th July 2022.
Lewandowski’s incredible goal-scoring prowess has made him a household name in European football. The 36-year-old Barcelona striker has consistently demonstrated his ability to find the back of the net, since moving to main stream European football in June 2010, earning him numerous accolades and titles throughout his career.
Robert Lewandowski, has a total of 312 goals league goals in the German Bundesliga, with 74 goals at Borussia Dortmund, in 131 league games and 238 goals in 253 games with Bayern Munich.
In Spain, Lewandowski has 54 goals in 79 La Liga goals taking him to a hooping 366 goals in 463 league matches.
Only Lionel Andrés and Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, have scored more goals than Lewandowski in the top five major European League Centers.
Argentine superstar Lionel Messi leads the list of players with most goals in Europe’s top five leagues with 496 goals, while Cristiano Ronaldo is second on the list of footballers with the most goals in Europe’s top five leagues with a tally of 495 goals.
