Renowned gospel artist, Sonnie Badu has provided a solution to end the senior national team, Black Stars of Ghana’s abysmal performances in recent times.
He said what the Black Stars is facing now is more spiritual than physical and the best solution is to bring back Kwesi Appiah as the head coach of the Black Stars.
His comment comes after Black Stars’ loss in their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match against Sudan on Tuesday, 15th October, 2024.
Sonnie Badu called on the Ghana Football Association to consider bringing back the former Black Stars coach to turn the fortunes of the National Team.
According to him, Sudan’s victory against Ghana was a painful win for Kwesi Appiah and that the GFA should swallow their pride and bring him back.
“@ghana_fa_official, I can tell you for free that this was a painful win for my friend. Let’s swallow our pride and bring him back!” He wrote on his Instagram.
“This is more spiritual than physical, and if you think football isn’t spiritual, just hear me out—anything controlled by the wind definitely has mysteries. Get him back!!” The Musician added.
Ghana suffered 0-2 defeat to Sudan on Tuesday afternoon at the Benina Martyrs Stadium in Libya after they held goalless draw in their first match.
The struggling Black Stars lost to Angola 1-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and drew 1-1 with Niger.
Sudan’s win against the Black Stars has left many people talking as some Ghanaians believe the chances of Black Stars qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) is less.
