Ghanaian rapper, songwriter, and entrepreneur, Michael Owusu Addo known professionally as Sarkodie has advised Ghanians especially the youth not to give up in their strive to achieve their ambitions in life.

He encourages them to use his life story as a beacon of inspiration and emulate his perseverance in the music industry.

According to him, his journey in the music landscape has been consistent and resilient and that greatness awaits anyone who can stand film and push forward.

“From 2010 to now, the journey has been a testament to consistency and resilience. Let my story be a beacon of inspiration for you to keep pushing forward. The grind never stops. Greatness awaits!” the  “multifaceted rapper” wrote on Facebook.

Sarkodie has been consistent since he recorded his debut album Makye.

His second studio album Rapperholic which features guest appearances from Efya, Chidynma, Mugeez of R2Bees, Obrafour, Jayso and EL was released in 2012.

In 2014, Sarkodie released his third studio album Sarkology. Primarily recorded in Twi, the album features guest appearances from Fuse ODG, Davido, Tiwa Savage, Banky W., Timaya, 2 Face Idibia, Efya, Mugeez, Obrafour, Burna Boy, Vivian Chidid, Vector, Silvastone, Sk Blinks, Stonebwoy, Joey B, J Town, Lil Shaker, Raquel, Sian, Kofi B, and AKA.

He also launched the Sarkcess Music record label in the year.

The renowned rapper  came out with his fifth studio album Highest on 8 September 2017 which comprises 19 songs, including 3 interludes and a bonus track.

The Sarknation boss released his fifth studio album Black Love on 20 December 2019.

He also came out with the album, No Pressure, in 2021.

The album, Jamz which had features from Black Sheriff, King Promise, Inkboy and many top Nigerian acts as well also came out in 2022.

His latest song Otan was released in 2023.

Sarkodie is one of the influential artists and his consistency in the Music industry has earned him numerous accolades, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VGMA).
