Media personality and socialite, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa widely known as Afia Schwarzenegger has described the founder of ‘The New Africa Foundation’, Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar or Freedom Jacob Caesar as a rebranding of Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM1.
She observed that Nana Kwame Bediako is using the same strategy the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of default Menzgold Company Limited, Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM1 used to defraud customers of Menzgold sum of money totalling GH¢340,835,650 between 2016 and 2018.
Speaking in a TikTok live session monitored by Elvisanokyenews.com, the outspoken media personality warned Ghanaians to be vigilant and learn a lesson from NAM1’s Menzgold issues and not fall for the words of Cheddar who claims to come as a saviour for Ghana and Africa in general.
She added that not all that glitters is gold so Ghanaians should not be deceived.
“Not all that glitters is gold, what NAM1 was doing was so fraudulent that it was only idiots that couldn’t see. You all fell for it and today how far did it go? today NAM1 how far did it go. How much of your locked funds have been paid? How many press conferences have you done that he is still sitting on the money and NAM1 is walking scout free. You haven’t been paid yet you are allowing this boy to rebrand himself as NAM1 to you that we need salvation.” She warned.
“If we need salvation, Someone whose papers are fraudulent is the one who will give us salvation? Why couldn’t Freedom use his own name to hire Independence Square if he knew what he was coming to do was so genuine? Arise, Ghana youth, arise” Afia Schwarzenegger fumed.
The government of Ghana under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo cancelled the much-awaited public lecture rally dubbed ‘The Convention 2024’ in the 11th-hour.
In a statement signed by H.M Wood, Chief Director at the Jubilee House on behalf of the Chief of staff, cited unforeseen circumstances.
The statement titled: Revocation of permit read.
“We write to invoke immediately permission granted by per our letter No.OP/PH/02 dated 11th November, 2023 which approved your request to use the Black Stars Square for the above event”
“The decision has been necessitated by an unforeseen State Event scheduled to take place at the venue” the statement said.
“Under the circumstances the amount of Ten Thousand Ghana cedis (GHc10, 000.00) paid by your office for the use of the venue will be founded”
“We regret any inconvinience this may cause” part of the read.
But the founder of ‘The New Africa Foundation’, Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar or Freedom Jacob Caesar has said he came in peace to form the foundation.
He revealed that the main idea for the “The New Africa Foundation” is to ensure that Ghana and Africa be counted among developed countries and continents in the world through its natural resources.
According to him, God has blessed Ghana and Africa in general with a lot of natural resources which should be the key for their developments.
Speaking at a press conference after the government of Ghana cancelled the much-awaited public lecture rally dubbed ‘The Convention 2024’ in the 11th-hour which brought influential African thought leaders like Professor PLO Lumumba, Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao from Zimbabwe and Peter Obi in Ghana, Nana Kwame Bediako revealed that he is “the man behind the mask”.
“21 years of my life, I have been serving a nation, working so hard, just to become an example of what wealth looks like, building a worth comes from knowledge, comes from wisdom, comes from understanding. You need to get this value from your own surroundings, I grew partly in Ghana, partly in England and I came back to Africa in 2001. Unlike Martin Luther I did not have a dream, I have a vision. ” He said.
“But I’m that man with a good purpose, with a great vision. I have a plan, and I have a vision for this nation. And not only this nation, I have it for Africa too. But I know Africa is the next biggest thing because out of all the continents that have been developed in this world, there is only one continent that is not developed and I am sent to do that,
“Am not here to your value, am here to add value to you. I discovered the land that we belong to has so much worth but until we turn it into our own, our economy, we will never be sustainable and we can not forever live in our countries with a box economy. I needed to create a middle income economy without being a part of the government” Freedom Jacob Caesar added.
“Why so because I believe it is part of my responsibility. I took a different part, my movement, my foundation, my groups and all of these have acquired some worth and the worth that I will invest back into society, it has become a part of my mission to make this change. I believe that I belong to Africa, I am a son of the soil, and I can add value to humanity and I came here to do that. I came here to add value to this world and to nature. I am not going to leave here without God even being proud of me,” He indicated.
“I am nothing to be scared of. I came to you as your salvation. I don’t invest in myself alone. I am investing in you, We need to educate. We need to uplift our children. We need to voice out to them. You are about to find out about this man in the mask because I never spoke a word, you were looking for me. I didn’t tell you whether I am into politics, whether I am an evangelist, whether I am a conventionist or a revolutionist. After this day, you will have to wait for me to share my policies and my visions with you.
“And if I’m the reason why the country or the government is not happy about these great voices coming to educate not only Ghana, but also Africa, then I take this moment to sacrifice myself, to unveil myself, because I have much respect for these great leaders beside me. I would have taken my own time to tell you that I am. But for this very moment, I am sacrificing myself to let you know that I’m that man.”
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of default Menzgold Company Limited, Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM1 has reacted to the cancellation of the event.
In his post on X (formerly twitter) NAM1 wrote “A NEW FORCE,A NEW GHANA,A NEW NATION”Seeking “Alterations” under Art.19(18) is granted,but an attempt to “Substitute”our Old with a NEW, not by LAW but by “Force” cannot be done without “abrogating” the old established order.This infringes on Art. 3(3) of the Const. of Gh(1992).
