Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach Abdul Karim Zito believes that it is early to write off Kotoko’s chances of winning the 2025-2026 Ghana Premier League title despite picking up another draw in its latest outing.
Kotoko drew goalless away from home to FC Samartex with the result extending the Porcupine Warriors’ unbeaten run. After playing 10 games, the club is the only team yet to lose a game this season.
However, picking three draws in four games have prevented Kotoko from rising to first place in the league but Karim Zito isn’t ready to write the club off.
“Apart from being the first, no position fits Kotoko so we are chasing [the league title] and it is not too late” Karim Zito said in his post-game presser.

Prior to the draw against Samartex, Kotoko drew with Vision FC and Aduana Stars; Kotoko rank fourth in the league standings with 20 points and trail leaders Aduana by three points though Kotoko have a game in hand.
