The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation heavyweight match between Michael Gerard Tyson also known as Iron Mike and YouTuber Jake Joseph Paul did not go well for the 58 year old man.
Jake Paul defeated Mike Tyson by unanimous decision from the three Judges.
The Judges scored 80-72, 79-73 and 79-73 for Jake Paul in a match held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Friday.
The much anticipated fight featured women’s boxing rematches in history which included super lightweight champion Katie Taylor versus unified featherweight champion Amanda Serrano.
The Jake Paul and Mike Tyson fight which brought more than 70,000 people in attendance broke the record for biggest boxing gate outside of Las Vegas.
According to Most Valuable Promotions, their fight also generated about $17.8 million revenue from ticket sales making the sport event more attractive.
Despite Mike Tyson’s defeat, social media users believe the 58-year-old legend still deserves respect
