Ghana forward, Jordan Ayew has expressed his happiness for scoring his first goal at Premier League side Leicester City.
The former Crystal Palace player, scored and assisted the Foxes to win 4-0 over Tranmere Rovers to advance to the next stage of the competition.
Speaking in an interview, Jordan Ayew stated he is really happy. Adding that the crowd was good to him.
“Yeah! I’m really happy. The crowd was good to me. It was important for us to win because we haven’t won since the start of the season. Today was very important for us, and I think we played well. We won, we scored goals, and played some good stuff.” He said.
He expressed confidence that the Foxes will win their Saturday game.
“It’s good for confidence for Saturday because Saturday is a very big game for us. It was a special one. I thank God that it went in, but the most important thing is that the team managed to get the qualification for the next round, and hopefully we can get a run.” He said.
“As a striker you need to try because they were really deep so I said let me try and shoot from afar. And lucky today, it went my way. Like I said, the most important thing is that the team to have a good for confidence for Saturday”
Jordan Ayew stated that he feels comfortable at Crystal Palace.
“I really enjoy it. I feel comfortable, the welcome is very well, I’m really really happy to be here. The most important thing for me is to have a good season, as the team enjoys this season and we have a really good team and so I am really really positive about this season. And we need the crowd as well to back us because the season will be very difficult.” He said.
Leicester City completed a deal worth an initial £5m with the former Crystal Palace player on Friday, 23 August, 2024.
