The Head Pastor of Believers Worship Center, Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei–Duah, has vowed to ask his church members to vote against any politician whose leaders go around and insult people.
Politics of insults will not bring blessings in the country.
During a church service, Prophet Adom Kyei-Duah stated that any political party who has a message for Ghanaians should present it accordingly without any insult.
“We are in an election year, any political party who has something to say should say it. If insult comes in, I will declare Philadelphia members not to vote for anybody who insults people. Such an attitude will not bring blessings in the country.” He vowed.
Many people have attributed Prophet Adom Kyei-Dua’s comment to former president and the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama’s recent public outburst against the Clergy, Imams, and Chiefs.
According to Mr. Mahama, pastors, Imams, Chiefs and Civil Society Organization in Ghana are hypocritical to speak against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) bad governance.
“In Ghana, we have pastors, Imams, Chiefs and Civil Society Organization but if NDC says anything it looks as if we are only concerned. We have to all come together with one accord and tell the government the wickedness they have paid Ghanaians, they have to go. But you see some chiefs praising this government that they have done a good job.” He said.
“When he (Bawumia) goes to church, some pastor asks him to kneel down and they pray for him to win the election. When he goes to the traditionalists, they pour wine to their shrines and ask their ancestors to guide him (Bawumia). They are hypocrites” Mr. Mahama stated.
