Ghanaian businessman and founder of Engineers and Planners, Ibrahim Mahama has reportedly reached out to the family of broadcast journalist Stephen Kofi Adomah to fund his eye surgery scheduled to take place in Dubai.

“Ibrahim Mahama steps in to cover the cost of Kofi Adomah’s eye surgery in Dubai.” The communique read.
According to reports, the cost of the eye surgery will cost $150k.
Kofi Adomah was shot in the face from a musket when covering a festival in Dormaa in the Bono region.
The incident has been a topic of discussion on social and traditional media.
The news of the gunshot was first announced by Broadcaster, Afia Pokua widely known as Vim Lady on Facebook.
“Yesu, Kofi, I’m praying for your full recovery and healing. Kofi Adomah I have been panicking since hearing the news that you were shot in the eye. May the Lord work overtime on you.” She posted.
Meanwhile, Kofi Adomah’s wife Nana Abena Etruba has expressed her displeasure over the shooting incident.
She also lamented how some people reported the news of her husband’s incident.
“In Ghana, there are some people (musketry) who have been trained to fire gunshots during traditional festivals. And the musketry points the gun and fire on the air but this was different. If you watch the video, the musketry put the gun on his chest and shot in my husband’s face. He was shot in the face; it wasn’t just gun powder.” She lamented.
According to her, they first rushed him (Kofi Adomah) to the Dormaa government hospital and he was later referred to Accra.
Nana Abena Etruba revealed that Kofi Adomah’s right eye is okay but the left is not working properly.
