Media Personality, Bridget Otoo has said it will take a lot of convincing to accept any appointment should the National Democratic Congress (NDC) come to power again.

According to her, for someone to succeed as Minister or any other appointment in government or even serve as a Member of Parliament, the person must be a good liar like the Vice president and the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and she is not ready to e in that circle.

Speaking on a KSM show monitored by Elvisanokyenews.com, Bridget Otoo indicated that though there are some rumours that she will be appointed Minister of Communications but she has not processed anything like that.

“To do this you have to at least be a good liar or a terrible liar like Bawumia and I just realized that I just don’t have the stomach for it, I will probably tell the truth and it may not work and I don’t have the desire to be an MP. I think you can make a difference, you can change the world without necessarily going to parliament.” She stated.

The presenter said she has been approached before with sponsors to stand as an MP for Sekondi but she refused because she felt her honesty will not be appreciated.

“I think there are more competent people like Sammy Gyamfi who is doing a good job in the NDC, Felix Kwakye Fosu who served in the NDC previous government. I have actually never processed to serve in the new government, I have been approached to stand as an MP in Sekondi, I had sponsors and all that and the main reason I didn’t do it is because I feel my honesty will not be appreciated.” The outspoken presenter revealed.

Bridget Otoo indicated that she is doing what she is doing not to pleased anybody to get appoitment from the NDC but she thinks she is doing what is right for the benefit of others.

She predicted that the integrity of the Parliament of Ghana will be called into question some time to come due to the kind of people who are rushing to go to parliament now.

“Right now I see people lying, I mean everybody is going to parliament. Look at the Jubilee House, everybody is going to parliament from the money that they have stolen from the state they want to go to parliament so if I look at them, I think the integrity of parliament will be called to question some times to come. And I wouldn’t like to be part of this circle but appointment, Minister, I have never processed to be part of this to be honest. Is not something that I dream or think about. I feel what I am doing is right, I don’t know it will take a lot of convincing for me to do that. I haven’t thought of that, I will still be Bridget Otoo beyond the NDC.” She stressed.
