The newly confirmed District Chief Executive for Offinso North in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Albert Sefa Boampong, has promised to closely work with the MP of the constituency to improve the livelihoods of the residents of Offinso North.
The Offinso North District Assembly have been without a DCE for the past 6 months following the demise of the late DCE, Hon. David Kwasi Asare Boakye who was affectionately called Adwumawura somewhere in November 2022.
During his confirmation at Akumadan, the district capital of Offinso North, a ceremony which was graced by the presence of Hon. Simon Osei Mensah, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Augustine Collins Ntim, the MP for Offinso North who doubles as a Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development amongst several other Dignitaries, Hon. Albert Sefa Boampong, who until his appointment was the Constituency NPP Chairman, pulled 29 YES Votes out of the total 34 Votes which represents 85.3% of the total vote cast as against 3 NO Votes and 2 rejected ballots.
Speaking in an interview with Asta Fm’s Nana Kwadwo Adu after his confirmation, Hon. Albert Sefa Boampong, said he and Hon. Collins Ntim, will do all within their capacity to make Offinso North an Urbanized district as he pledges to work closely with the office of the MP.
” Offinso is no longer a village, our vision is to make the district Urbanized, we will explore all means take the district Urbanized, I know my MP, Hon..Collins Ntim, has putting in many measures to make the district Urbanized “. The DCE said.
He disclosed that, Offinso North District has benefited immensely from NPP led Government’s Infrastructural projects and his vision is to complement these achievements with a push for the local economic development.
Hon. Albert Sefa Boampong pleaded with Assembly Members, Staff, Nananom and all Other relevant stakeholders to support him to become successful in his tenure as he promises to run an open-door administration.
“My advice to the whole district, Assembly members, Assembly staff, is to work hard and united in discharging our duties”
“When the need arises, I will pay a courtesy call on Nananom to solicits for ideas in developing our district. I will frequently visit the inhabitants of the town to get first hand information about their challenges”. Hon. Albert Sefa Boampong said.
