Ghanaian professional boxer, Braimah Isaac Kamoko also known as Bukom Banku has said if he fails to eat in the morning he will die so he doesn’t fast.
According to him, he is a Muslim but he can not fast nor read the Quran.
Kukom Bankom said he only gives people money to pray for him during Ramadan.
“Massa, if I tell you I fast and I go home God will curse me. Maybe I give somebody GHC 20, GHC 30, GHC 40 to fast for me” He revealed.
During the ninth month of the Islamic calendar (Ramadan), Muslims abstain from food, drink, smoking and other things to pray to their Maker (God) since they believe the Holy Qur’an was sent down from heaven in that month as a guidance for men and women to get salvation.
The Ghanaian boxer believes he prays for Muslims so they will bury him in their traditional ways when his Maker calls him.
“I am a Muslim but I can’t read the Quran, I can’t fast. I pray for Muslim so when I die they will bury me as a Muslim. I can not fast so when Ramadan comes I give money to people to pray for me. For my stomach, if I don’t eat early in the morning I will die. ” He said in an interview monitored by Elvisanokyenews.com.
According to him, the best rest for the stomach is to rest not to fast.
When the host ask him that the body needs rest sometimes he responded “but the rest is not that you should not eat food, you can sleep”
Ghana Boxing Association revoked the professional licence of Bukom Banku for breaching the contract he had with Box Office Promotions to engage in a rematch with Bastie Samir.
According to GBA, Bukom Banku failed to honour a contract he had with Box Office Promotions.
