Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Francisca Gawugah known by the stage name Sista Afia has disclosed that she is single and ready to mingle.
According to Sista Afia, her experiences in her past relationships scared her from dating any man but at the moment she will welcome any right person who can fill her space.
Speaking on Girls Aloud Podcast monitored by Elvisanokyenews.com, the singer indicated that her past perception about dating someone in the entertainment industry has been shaped and now she understands the business.
“I think I need to work on my relationship lifestyle, I think every year I try to change. I try to be more calm to myself. Because past relationships have made me silly if you get me. I can’t say everything but I have been through the worst abusive relationship and I am scarce that I can even go through that process. Officially, being with a man scared me. I am not saying it will be there forever and I am not saying that I will not date anymore, if I find the right person I will date.” The 31-year-old musician said.
“I have never dated anybody in the industry because I didn’t want to be in the same field with my man but if I get somebody, I will like to date. I have understood the business now and I think they will understand me better. I feel like when you work with somebody in the space who you are dating, it helps. Before I doubted but now I feel like yeah, because the person understands exactly what has to be done, what you have to do to do this, there is nothing wrong with dating anybody in the industry.” She added.
Sista Afia revealed that she was scared to date any man because she has been through the worst abusive relationships.
“I am not in a relationship. I don’t know what is happening, I have dated three guys in my life. We are no more but they still want to reconnect and I feel like there is something good in me that is why they are doing that but I think that I am not ready for any man. I really don’t pay attention to men who send me messages because I am not searching for a man. But you know as a female sometimes you get bored, you really need a man to get your space regardless, body not be fire wood.” She indicated.
