Gospel musician, Broda Sammy has emphasized the need for the word of God to spread to nightclubs and drinking spots.
According to him, gospel musicians and evangelists only focus on churches and markets, which according to him is not helping christians to win more souls.
Speaking in an interview with TV3, Broda Sammy stated that “when you go to church, you know that there will be gospel songs but nobody is going to expect gospel songs at the nightclubs or drinking spots so I will disguise and preach to them. They don’t know how to win souls. People used to go to the market and preach, why don’t you go to the club? Even the devil has adapted his strategies, so we should also change. Where you don’t expect God-like spots, you will find me doing worship.”
He said his doors are open to everyone irrespective of their beliefs.
The renowned gospel musician indicated that if anybody invites him to perform at drinking spots, nightclubs, or if a secular artist he will welcome the call since God is omnipresent.
“I am learning from my God, He is a universal God. I don’t discriminate against people based on their faith, whether you are Muslim or Traditionalist I will work with you. I only see them as my fellow human beings. I have had many challenges from different churches. In the past people did not understand Christianity.” He said.
“In the past I would not perform at nightclubs and drinking spots but today if a drinking spot or nightclub invites me to perform, I will go. If a secular artist invites me, I will run and go, everywhere because those places need the word of God most.” Broda Sammy added.
