French professional footballer, Kylian Mbappé Lottin has revealed what inspired him to love Real Madrid from childhood.
According to him, he started watching Real Madrid matches because of French professional football manager and former player, Zinedine Yazid Zidane, popularly known as Zizou, and Portuguese professional footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro GOIH ComM.
He said the two former Real Madrid players’ remarkable performances made him love to watch Real Madrid matches and felt like playing for them.
“Zidane is very important for me as a French person because he was very important in France and we followed all of Zidane’s games when he was at Real Madrid. Then Cristiano Ronaldo, my idol, arrived at the club and then I watched all of his games. And then I started to watch every single Real Madrid match. But now I can not watch them play anymore because I am playing for them.” He said during his presentation on Tuesday, 16th July, 2024.
Mbappé left PSG to join Real Madrid after his contract expired.
He stated that it was his childhood dream to play for Real Madrid.
“I feel like it is a privilege to be able to say that I am a Real Madrid player. It was my childhood dream. I have been waiting for this moment today for a long time, and now it is a reality, I am a Real Madrid player and today I am fulfilling a dream, and dreams are priceless.” He indicated.
“I was close to signing for Real Madrid two year ago, and three years ago as well. That is part of the life of a soccer player. As I said the past is behind us, many things happen in the past but that is behind us and what I think about is the present. I want to enjoy every second of this with my family because for me, it is a day that I will remember for the rest of my life. “I am going to tell my children and all of the people in my family that for me, it is an historic day.” Mbappé added.
