Highlife musician Ofori Amponsah has presented Veteran music producer Fred Kyei Mensah, popularly known as Fredyma and Selina Orleans to the late Daddy Lumba.
According to him, the claims that Fredyma intrduced him to Daddy Lumba are false.
Speaking on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, hosted by Kwame Dadzie and Doreen Avio, Ofori Amponsah said he personally took his demo recordings to Daddy Lumba after Fredima had helped him record them and that is when the connection started.
“Fredyman is my father but he is not the one who introduced me to Daddy Lumba. I went out looking for a producer myself, I went around searching for people to help me. He did the demo for me and I took it out searching for help.” He said.
“My collection with Daddy Lumba came after I went to his house myself and presented my demo. And the following day he went to him and he said he listened to the demo and wanted to see Ofori Amponsah so I went in and he said I will help that is all. I didn’t go with Fredyma the first time.” Ofori Amponsa added.
“So I told Fredyma that I have seen someone who is willing to help and I presented him to Daddy Lumba. Again, Lumba wanted a lady to record a gospel with so I presented Selina Orleans to him. Selina was with Fredyma and I was singing with her so I presented both of them to Daddy Lumba.” He stressed.
