Radio host, Oheneni Adazoa has opened up on being married for 20 years without a child.
According to her, all efforts have been made but have proven unsuccessful.
“I have been married for twenty years (20) without a child,” The Sompa FM presenter told Delay.
When Delay asked her are you still searching she responded “Of course” and kept silent for a while on the show.
Explaining further of her situation, Oheneni Adazoa indicated that her mother died as a result of her inability to give her a grandchild since she is the only daughter.
“People should understand that it is not anybody’s wish to go into marriage without having a child. My mother died last year, and I am the only daughter. I think the stress my mother went through, asking me every day and then when I am going to give her a grandchild caused her death.” She explained.
Adding that the pressure from outside is too much.
“But sometimes, the gossip is too much, and I thought that is the reason God gave me that man. He doesn’t have a child but has never complained before but the pressure from outside is too much. We beg them, they should stop. What I will never forget in my life is when my church said what I know is only to sing “I should give birth which discouraged a new convert.” Oheneni lamented.
She expressed optimism that God will give her a child before she will die.
“But I know the God I serve will give me a child before I die so those people who are saying that should stop.” She stated.
