Ghanaian songstress Belinda Ekua Amoah, known as Mzbel, has revealed why she didn’t travel abroad to give birth for her children to secure a foreign passport unlike some other celebrities.
According to her, she feels shy to do that because she believes one should be successful at his or her home.

Adding that she will not go and stay abroad because of greed or opportunity, she must have her own way in her country.
“Because of greed should I go and stay in someone’s country to give my child a passport, I feel shy to do that. I can travel anytime, I don’t want my kids to feel that you have to travel abroad to be successful, you have to be successful in our home.” Mzbel stated.
The musician stressed that she is a proud Ghanaian so there is no need for her to travel abroad efore making a life as some people perceived.
“People were asking why I did not give birth abroad, but I feel shy to do so. Because I am a Ghanaian, having a Ghanaian blood of Ghanaian why would I stay abroad to give birth just for some opportunities? I feel shy” She said.
Her comments come after a Ghanaian residing in the Netherlands, Kofi Gabs claimed his Dutch passport holds greater practical value than a PhD obtained in Ghana.
Some celebrities and politicians opted to travel abroad and give birth for their children to get a foreign passport.
Many people believe traveling abroad gives you more opportunity to become a successful person in life.
