Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has said he feels proud of the work of the NDC whenever he visits patients in hospitals or read reviews on people’s lived experiences at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).

“Whenever I visit patients in hospitals or read reviews on people’s lived experiences at the UGMC, I feel proud of our work in government.” The former president wrote on his X.

The University of Ghana Medical Centre is a quaternary medical and research centre located on the campus of the University of Ghana in Accra, Ghana.

The quaternary medical and research centre that provides world-class patient care, training and research was commissioned by the former President, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, on Wednesday 4th January 2017,

According to Mr. Mahama, his track record in infrastructure development in the country during his administration is well acknowledged.

The former president assured that he is poised to do more in the next NDC government if Ghanaians give him the mandate to as the president of Ghana again in the December 7th polls.

“I am poised to do more. My track record in infrastructure development is well acknowledged.” He added.

Highlighting some of the achievements the then NDC government made, Mr Mahama stated that their track record built the Ghana National Gas Company and many power plants to fix dumsor.

Adding that it is the track record of the NDC that built ultramodern hospitals such as the UGMC, the Ridge Hospital, the Bank Hospital, the Maritime Hospital, the Dodowa Hospital, and several others across the country.

“We shall provide more. It is a track record that built the Ghana National Gas Company and many power plants to fix dumsor. It has a solid track record of building ultramodern hospitals such as the UGMC, the Ridge Hospital, the Bank Hospital, the Maritime Hospital, the Dodowa Hospital, and several others across the country.”

John Dramani Mahama and the NDC have vowed to unseat the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections.

One of the policies that the NDC said they will rebuild Ghana on is a 24 hour economy which according to them will create more jobs for the Ghanaian youth to reduce the high rate of unemployment.

According to Mahama, Ghanaians are suffering because of bad governance by president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia government.

The various political parties have declared the 2024 general elections as crucial.
