Ghanaian actress, Portia Asare has opened up on how she was raised by her parents and her family.
According to her, she can not dress to expose her body like other actresses do due to how she was trained.
She said her parrents and granmother took it upong themselves to ensure that they have dressed properly before going out and that has guided her in all her activities.
“Sometimes people laugh at me. Why do I always want to cover myself? Well, I don’t even know but that is what makes me happy anyway. For the dressing, they check on how you dress at home, in my childhood, when we were going to church and my mother bought us shoes and was on a high hill, my grandmother wouldn’t allow us to wear them. She will go and buy us a new one. A lot of things have influenced us while we are growing up.” The actress stated.
“That is why the Bible says we should train up a child in the way of the Lord, so that when he or she grows he or she will not depart from it. Sometimes we should not just attribute it to just the biblical aspect,……… God talks about normal ways of life. So that could be a factor.” She added.
Speaking in an interview with Bra Kwaku on Elvis Anokye TV, Portia Asare indicated that she always wants to do things that wil;; bring peace and joy to herself not being influncced by social media.
According to her, involving in such dressing in public will bring her down.
“And then also, I don’t live my life for some of these things. I live a very free and private life ……..I want to do what I want to do that will bring me peace, it is not about the social media or whatever, it is about what will bring you peace, confort, so I feel like if I involve in these things, it will bring me down, it will limit my strength.” She stated.
