Ghanaian actor and comedy skit maker, Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi, also known as Dr Likee, has announced that he will put an end to his acting career.
He said he will not be going to act or produce movies again two weeks after he returns from the United Kingdom (UK) due to wrongful accusations.
Speaking in an interview shared on the Instagram page of GhKwaku, Dr Likee explained that people accused him of being selective despite his efforts to help them. Adding that the work load on him is too much so if people have different perceptions about his work, he will quit for different people to come and continue.
“Give me two weeks, I am not going to act nor will I produce movies again. As I prepare to return home, there are about 50 producers and creators waiting for me, one person, I work from 6am in the morning to 6pm in the evening. Papa J, the work is too much, I am tired.” Dr. Likee said.
The renowned actor who denied accusations of working with his prefered people said he has taught his followers how to fish so they should go out there and fish for themselves.
Dr. Likee stated that he has helped many people in the country so he is quitting for others to continue.
“We have not been selective in our work. We call all the creators and assemble them here and point out who I have not worked with before. Because of these rumors and accusations I am quitting. I am not going to work with any producer again. Why? I have done my part, everyone knows that I have done my part in this country. I have helped people.” He stated.
“Someone should come and continue, everyone should have his way. I have taught them how to fish unless you are lazy but the serious people I have taught them how to fish. Go out there and fish for yours, sometimes I use my own money to pay artists.”
