The Presidential Candidate of the New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar has offered his head to resolve the long stand misunderstanding and disputes between Dormaahene Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II and the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

According to him, if the two renowned Traditional rulers are united, there will be peace in Ghana but if they are separated Ghanaians will be also separated.

Speaking at Dormaahene’s palace as part of his regional tour, Cheddar stated that the Asantehene and Dormaahene were made Traditional rulers for a purpose because they all bear significant names which must help to promote the development of Ghana.

“Otumfuo and Osagyefo are two great names, they are great kings. If God’s blessing is not with you, you wouldn’t have been sitting on this throne but things happen for a purpose. I came here with drinks to appease you, and I will plead with Otumfuo as well that any misunderstanding and disputes between you, I, Nana Kwame Bediako, am offering my head for the two of you.” He promised.

Adding that if what he is asking doesn’t produce good fruit, he should be beheaded.

“If the two of you are united, the country benefits but if there is separation, then we are also separated. What I am asking them to do, if it doesn’t become possible, they should behead me,” Cheddar stated.

For his part, Dormaahene and President of Bono Regional House of Chiefs, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II pledged to do everything possible to resolve the issue between him and Otumfuo for the peace of the country.

He said if not for that constitution of Ghana, he would have declared his support for the New Force ahead of the December poll because of Cheddar’s bold decision.

“I am shocked because of what he has said. He has said something that our leaders in the country cannot say. Who doesn’t want unity? I have thought about it, and I promise that his words won’t be in vain. NPP and NDC have been here for many years but today we have a redeemer. If not for the 1992 Republican constitution that prohibits chiefs from engaging in active politics, I would have declared my support for him and helped him.” Dormaahene assured.
