Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a forward for and captains both Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr and the Portugal national team, Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro GOIH ComM has expressed his excitement for winning his first trophy with Al Nassr and the club’s first-ever Arab Club Champions Cup.

According to the former Manchester United player, he is extremely proud of helping the club to win what he described as an “important trophy” for the first time.

“Extremely proud to helped the team winning this important trophy for the 1st time!” Cristiano Ronaldo tweeted.

He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in the great achievement.

“Thank you to everyone in the club that was involved in this great achievement and to my familly and friends for always being by my side! Fantastic support by our fans! This also belongs to you” He added.

Al Nassr won the club’s first-ever Arab Club Champions Cup title after Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice in a 2-1 extra-time win over fellow Saudi side Al Hilal on Saturday at the King Fahd Stadium.

The Arab Club Champions Cup is an annual regional club football competition organised by the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) and contested by top-division clubs from the Arab world. The tournament is contested by a total of 37 teams from the Asian Football Confederation and the Confederation of African Football.

The tournament is played by top Arab clubs in the region and included teams from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria.
