Pope Obumneme Odonwodo popularly known as Junior Pope is a Nollywood actor, model and a philanthropist. He was born on 7th May 1984 in Bamenda, Cameroon to Mr. and Mrs. Luke Odonwodo. He is currently 39 years old. He hails from Ukehe tribe of Enugu State in the south eastern part of Nigeria.
But he grew up in Cameroon. He completed both his primary & secondary school education in Cameroon before relocating to Nigeria.
After his college he went further to University of Nigeria Nsukka Enugu State and graduated with a degree in Accountancy. In 2006 he joined Nollywood and acted in many movies.
He always plays the role of guard and servant. In 2007 he rose to fame after acting in the blockbuster movie “Secret Adventures” directed by Tchidi Chikere. According to him, it was the award winning movie director “Tchidi Chikere” that brought him to limelight.
He has acted in over 100 movies which include Secret Adventures, Mad sex, Bitter Generation, Vengeance of Bullet, etc. In 2010 he won the award for Nollywood Most Promising Actor in Nigeria at the Entertainment Factory Awards.
Pope acted in more than 100 Nollywood films including Throne of Tears (2008), Always Mine (2009), Mad Sex, Blood Affair (2021), Gbege (2022) and No Way Through (2023).
In October 2022, Pope starred in the Nollywood film Gbege, and also appeared the following year showing off his acting skills in the movie Honey Money, in April 2023.
On 26th July 2014 Junior Pope got married to Jennifer Awele Okpuno and the couple are blessed with 3 beautiful kids.
He has won several movie awards such as most promising actor in Nigeria at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. He is currently one of the richest & most influential actors in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $350,000.
