The Techiman South constituency Parliamentary election committee chaired by Dr. Agyeman Badu on last Sunday, 28th December 2024 acclaimed Hon. Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah, as the Parliamentary candidate for the constituency.
His acclamation comes on the back of being the only person to have filed his nomination to contest the primary for the constituency. At a ceremony held at the Techiman Central SDA School Park, Techiman on Sunday, January 28, 2024, Officials of the Electoral Commission conducted the acclamation, officially declaring him as the Party’s candidate for the 2024 Parliamentary elections.
The event was witnessed by the NPP Regional Executives and Constituency delegates. Other dignitaries included the Bono East Regional Minister, Hon. Kwasi Adu -Gyan, the MCE of Techiman South, Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko, the DCE of Techiman North, Hon. Addo Donkor Everson, MCE of Kintampo North, Hon. Isaac Baffoe Ameyaw, the former Member of Parliament of Techiman North, Hon. Martin Oti Gyarko, the former Member of Parliament for Lawra, Anthony Abayifaa Karbo, the Parliamentary Candidate for Nkoranza South, Harriet Kyeremanten Oppong, NPP Regional Patrons and Constituency Council of Elders.
During the ceremony, the Techiman South Municipal Chief Executive eulogized Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah for his good works and encouraged members of the party and the people of Techiman at large to vote massively for Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah and Dr. Bawumia come December 7th, 2024.
“Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah has done a lot for the development of Techiman, He has helped the Municipal Assembly to extend electricity to most communities in the municipality, and thanks to him, we have built and renovated a lot of schools, the road network in Techiman has improved drastically with the help of Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah.”
“I want to urge all of us here to make away with our differences and go out in our numbers and vote massively for Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah and Dr. Bawumia come December 7th, 2024.
On his part, Hon. Martin thanked the party faithful for the honor they had bestowed upon him and promised not to take their trust for granted.
“There is no greater honor than what you have bestowed upon me, it is a great opportunity to serve our great party but when the time came to select a leader, you all decided to choose me to serve and I don’t think there is any greater than that. We all know what happened yesterday when the party went to the polls, most people would have wished to have gone unopposed but they didn’t get it like that so I am very grateful for your faith in me.” Hon. Martin said.
He disclosed that the only thing that can help the NPP party to break the 8 in the December general elections is unity. He therefore urged members of the party to approach the upcoming elections with a united front.
“Aside from God, it will take a collective effort from all of us here for me to achieve my aim of developing Techiman South, if our party can be as great as we all want it to be then we have to work hard and be united as one family.” He disclosed
The Member of Parliament for Techiman South Constituency, Hon. Martin Kwaku Adjei-Korsah, has been unanimously endorsed as the 2024 Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Techiman South Constituency.
