The Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe Teacher Initiative, led by the Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has made a significant impact in the district by supporting 39 schools with a total enrollment of 8,829 pupils and 137 teachers.
Under the initiative, beneficiary schools receive financial support totaling GHS 84,240 per month, amounting to GHS 589,680 over a seven-month period. Each school receives between GHS 8,400 and GHS 22,400 depending on the number of teachers and pupils.
The supported schools include Agyedum D/A, Obing Methodist Primary, Chichiso No. 2, among others. The initiative is designed to promote education and provide much-needed assistance to teachers, recognizing their crucial role in shaping the next generation of leaders.
Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe’s commitment to education has been widely commended by residents, who say the initiative will have a lasting impact on both pupils and teachers, strengthening the educational landscape in Amenfi Central.
