The Member of Parliament for Banda Constituency in the Bono Region, Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim, has broken ground for the construction of an ultramodern market facility in his constituency.
The ultramodern market facility, which will be built in between the communities of Ahenkro and Bongase, will enhance market and economic activities in the areas and other surrounding communities while creating a conducive environment for local businesses in Banda to thrive.
The event was attended by community leaders, some executives of the Bono regional National Democratic Congress and some residents of Banda.
Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim, was accompanied by the Bono Regional Chairperson for the NDC, Mr. Kwadwo Nyamekye Marfo, the Bono Regional Communication Officer of the NDC, Mr. Charles Akowuah Tuffour, the Secretary of the MP, Harruna Tanko Bongase Assembly Member, Hon. Dongi Peter, Assembly Member of Ahenkro, Hon. Jerry Sito, Bongase Mratehene, Yakubu Issah including many others
Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim explained that, “investing in infrastructures such as markets will promote economic growth and improve the livelihoods of the my people and that is why we are building such market.”
The ultramodern market complex, is expected to provide modern facilities and amenities for traders and customers alike. it will feature spacious stalls, proper sanitation facilities, ample parking space and a conducive environment for business transactions.
According to the legislature, “the new market complex will not only benefit the local economy but also contribute to the overall development of the community. He said the market when completed and commissioned, “will create employment opportunities, promote entrepreneurship and foster a vibrant business environment.”
The groundbreaking ceremony symbolizes the commitment of Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim to prioritize the welfare and prosperity of the people of Banda.
