Ghana football giants, Accra Hearts of Oak, have officially announced the appointment of Nana Yaw Amankwah as their new assistant coach.
Nana Yaw Amankwah, who spent last season as an assistant to Nebojsa Kapor was instrumental in their Ghana Premier League triumph and played a significant role in their historic debut in the CAF Champions League group stages and he is expected to add a lot of expertise, experience and tactical know-how to the Oak family as he will be deputizing head coach Aboubakar Ouattara for the upcoming football season.
The club’s official statement reads, “Hearts of Oak are thrilled to introduce Nana Yaw Amankwah as our new assistant coach. Looking forward to his expertise and the positive energy he brings to our team.
Hearts of Oak will hope for an improved performance next season after a disappointing season that saw them narrowly avoid relegation. The Continental Club Masters cemented their place in next season’s Ghana Premier League on the final day of the season with a 3-2 victory over the Hunters, Bechem United
They will play their first game of the season against Basake Holy Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium.
