German international, Kai Lukas Havertz, produced a Man of the Match performance at the Emirates Stadium for Arsenal in their 4:1 win over Bundesliga Champions, Bayer Leverkusen.
Kai Haverz provided two (2) assists in the game before scoring the fourth goal in the game for Arsenal.
Havertz, who started the game and lasted 70 minutes on the pitch, assisted the first two goals for the The Gunners within the first nine minutes of the game before providing the icing on the cake in the 66th minute.
The game started with Arsenal dominating possession and creating several chances, and they were rewarded with their first goal on the 8th minute when Oleksandr Zinchenko’s left footed shot from the outside the box found its way to the bottom right corner of Leverkusen’s net with an assist from Kai Havertz.
A minute later, Kai Havertz provided another assist this time for Leandro Trossard, who gave Arsenal a 2 goal advantage from the center of Leverkusen’s 18-yard box.
Arsenal continued with their dominant performance throughout the first half of the game as Gabriel Jesus scored their 3rd goal in the 38th minute following a fast break.
Mikel Arteta Amatriain’s side went into the break with a comfortable 3:0 lead but they were not done as Harvertz was to have the final say for the Gunners in the game.
With two assists to his name, the former Chelsea midfielder made it 4:0 for Arsenal in the 65 minute when he got his goal from a very close range.
Leverkusen fought back, pulling a goal on the 76th minute but Adam Hložek’s goal was all they could afford in the game as Arsenal triumphed with a 4:1 victory.
